An Extremely-Rare Food Packet
________

flown aboard the Apollo 12 Lunar Module "Intrepid"

The vast majority of Lunar Module food
was left behind on the Moon by the Apollo astronauts.

This example, however, from the
Alan L. Bean Space Collection is a rare exception!

This food was originally intended to be a gift from
Bean to tycoon Aristotle Onassis, during a planned visit
by the Apollo 12 crew to Greece in 1970 which never materialized.

This literally represents some of the first food
ever carried by Man to the surface of another world!
